America's First Internet of Things (IoT) Public Broadcasting Station

Alert

The Las Vegas Public Radio brand continues to operate in degraded public broadcaster mode following a fatal set of actions during license modification in 2023-2024 by the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) causing the former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF to lose it's broadcast license(s)/permits during a Temporary Application for Provisional Commercial Use (TAPCU) project to determine why Low Power FM (LPFM) stations could not be licensed to commercial entities after 23+ years. This forced the organization to close down by January 20, 2025 due to a lack of any sort of rollback mechanisms within the FCC, if they were even necessary. Apparently this editorial technique for content and coverage being provided by the public broadcaster to the general public was something the FCC disliked and used opportunity to sabotage and eliminate a licensed/permitted public broadcaster from having those discussions with the general public along with the FCC even telling the former public broadcaster that Low Power FM (LPFM) stations were not FM stations (meaning the FCC actually may be in the process to entirely eliminate the Low Power FM service after 26+ years through consolidation). This also came in parallel during a five (5) year cycle of well documented censorship previously issued and already being enforced by the FCC against the public broadcaster beginning in June 2020 which continued through June 2025 due to it's editorial stories it had been preparing prior to, during and post COVID-19.

Apparently the FCC, during COVID-19, used forms of well documented censorship against public broadcasters because of stories the FCC did not want discussed on the public airwaves here in southern Nevada which was in direct violation of the public broadcaster's U.S. Constitutional civil rights under the 1st Amendment on delivering it's content to We, The People and meeting it's public interest requirements. This was during the time and related to the former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF public broadcaster having received preliminary approval from the Chinese government by September 2019 to establish an office (news bureau) outside of Macau within mainland China. This was later announced to the general public by Ambassador Donghua Wang of the People's Republic of China during a special news broadcast on January 6, 2020 on KIOF as the Chinese delegation was making it's way to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). It's fairly obvious to many that this was FCC censorshop being used for political purposes due to editorial techniques used in preparing those stories which the FCC did not like. This has also continued to this day by the FCC ignoring numerous requests so stories of public interest could continue including the ongoing stories still being prepared within the Las Vegas Public Radio division at Portsonic Communications (Nevada).

The former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF President & CEO made every last effort to try and save the public broadcaster for southern Nevada and the tri-state area by May 2025 through an emergency Radio Community Service Grant (Radio CSG) application made to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) which failed. The fatal blows were further delivered with the Rescissions Act of 2025 signed into law on July 24, 2025 by the President as well as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) defunded by Congress in mid-2025 and eventually it's closure by January 5, 2026. This sealed the fate of any potential revival of the former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF public broadcaster in the southern Nevada marketplace on continuing to serve you which was operated exclusively by a majority of non-partisans for many years.

The federal court case is Gregory P LaPorta v. Corporation for Public Broadcasting, et al filed back on December 15, 2025 on Case No. CV-25-08266-PCT-SHD in the District of Arizona with a trial by jury request. This is a case of view point discrimination and censorship to target and purposely destroy an American public broadcaster by the American government and to silence it's speech along with purposely removing competition in Nevada's public broadcasting industry.

Stage 1 operations have fully kicked off to begin attempts at fixing/reviving the Las Vegas Public Radio brand and restoring the former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF back to it's original form prior to January 20, 2025 during America's 250th Birthday. This may not even possible due to irreparable damage already sustained within the public broadcasting industry and to brands like Las Vegas Public Radio including fear by it's former staff and other journalists of being murdered by the American government due to it's editorial stance on national issues affecting the nation's security. This had already begun to happen by September 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada with the murder of Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German by the Clark County, Nevada Administrator followed by the sudden and unexpected death of the former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF Vice President Andy LaPorta just a few days later. Those stories and discussions apparently are not allowed any longer to be shared with the general public on what the former public broadcaster had discovered impacting the nation and you.
